Happy (Belated) Halloween

HAPPY (belated) HALLOWEEN ! ! ! ! I hope everyone had a great Halloween and got lots of candy to cause a sugar high last night, and candy hangover today. I know I didn't get that much. But I instead went out for dinner with my boyfriend to our favourite restaurant Montana's. It was a great night. When we came back to my building, one of the people from the office was giving out bags of candy, so we took a bag. We finished that small bag last night while watching Hocus Pocus. It was a good night. And now I have to deal with the transition of Halloween to Remembrance day, to Christmas (which doesn't start until the week before Christmas in my head). I hope everyone had fun costumes, if you want to share what you were this year feel free. I would love to read all about it.

Its Been So Long - Life Update

Hello everyone. I'm well aware that it has been well over a year since my last posting. Life got very in the way. I had mentioned before that I am in college. Well, college was the main reason I stopped posting. I started getting more and more projects, and that took up more and more of my time. I missed the writing, but I could never set aside enough time to sit and write like usual. Not long after I stopped writing in 2017 I had started talking to a guy I met from my summer job. Then the next thing I knew I was dating him (starting mid-October 2017). Maybe one time I can write about him, since I love to talk about him and how great a guy he is. But school and now a boyfriend took over my life. I had to fit in time for my friend, especially when we took trips to the mall just because we needed something to do. Jumping to the time of Christmas. I spent the Christmas holidays with him. We went to my parents house for Christmas, and then to his parents house for New Years. I ha...

Trip to Niagara Falls

Image
Yesterday I went to Niagara Falls with my college. Now a school trip is always boring right? Wrong. In college (this trip specifically) we were on the bus for 2 hours, and when we got the the falls we were told "be back here by 6:30" we could do whatever we wanted. We were responsible for our actions. Of course I had to go see the falls because I've never saw them before. They were exciting for a whole 3 minutes, but I had 8 hours to fill. My friend and I decided to explore, and we looked up a hill and saw a road filled with lots of things. We started with the Guinness World records, followed by a fun house, where we also got lost in a hall of mirrors. We then went in search of the Mystery Get Lost Maze, which is basically an outside maze that looks also like a castle. We then went to Montana's for lunch, because I have an obsession with that restaurant. We went to Ripley's Believe it or Not, after, and that was so strange, but it was fun at the same time. F...

Basically Meeting Hedley

Image
This post is a week overdue, I know. I saw Barenaked Ladies, and Hedley in concert, now I didn't take any pictures or videos of the Barenaked Ladies, but I do have a picture and quick video of Hedley. The concert was absolutely amazing, I had floor seats for the concert, so I was in the second row of the concert. In the picture to the right you can see how close I am. It was beyond amazing to be this close to a band I listen to fairly often. My favourite part of this whole concert (when Hedley was on stage) was when Jacob would grab a bottle of water, take a few sips, and then throw it into the crowd, he did that three times, making sure to get most of us a little wet. I don't think anyone was expecting that to happen, but it was so awesome at the same time. Now as for the video I took, its only about thirteen seconds long, but its something I'll have to remember the night. And because I'm a noob at attaching videos (and making them play) I can't post the video...

Concert and Hedley Hype

Image
College has a lot of ups and downs, especially when you factor in all the work that comes with college. But the best thing is the first week, especially for a first year. First years get frosh week, for anyone who doesn't know that just means a week filled with fun activities, and the frosh week varies depending on the school. For me, there was a movie being played last Saturday, Sunday was an icebreakers event, Monday a free barbecue, and comedy show (which was really good, aside from one comedian who wasn't all that good), Tuesday was a carnival, yesterday there was the freak show: Monsters of Schlock and they set a new Guinness record for most baking sheets hit over the head. Tonight there is a campfire (depending on the weather), I don't think there is anything for Friday, but we are having a private event on Saturday. This private event on Saturday is indeed the concert, as the title suggests. The concert will start with Brave Shores (if you don't know who t...

College Life

So I'm back in college, meaning posts will definitely not be often. But this years I'm in a new school, and its definitely a bigger school, but that's alright. This year I'm living with three other people (one of which is a friend from my last school), its a change from living with one other person, but hopefully I get used to it. The rooms are definitely smaller, but at least there's a living area, so I can feel a little more at home, which is always nice. There is one thing that really sucks with this residence is that they have four people to a room, and they don't supply a fully fridge, so my friend and I have ordered a mini fridge to share, and use for the year. The great thing about going from one school to another (within the same program) is that I can get exempt from classes I know I don't like, or ones I genuinely don't want to take, for various reasons, one of which could be: its too early (meaning an 8am class). I just hope I don't get...

My Kitties Today

Image
Over the years I've had many cats. I'll admit, I'm a cat person, and I have plans to get my own cats when I move out on my own. But today, here is some pictures of my current cats: To start, this is Tangerine. He's three years old, and he absolutely loves to talk, be outside, and roll in the grass. He's basically my domesticated tiger, or at least that's what I call him. We got him as a kitten, and he's just a big suck. The only thing is he won't cuddle up with you, unless he goes to you to curl up. And he refuses to wear collars, no matter what we do. And here is my newest addition to the family. This is Paisley, and she's two years old. We only got her (almost) two weeks ago, from one of my dad's co-workers. She hasn't really bonded to anyone except for me, and isn't too fond of my brother or my mom, and isn't sure what to think of my dad yet. She loves to talk too, but when she's done with your attention she will make i...
