My Kitties Today

Image
Over the years I've had many cats. I'll admit, I'm a cat person, and I have plans to get my own cats when I move out on my own. But today, here is some pictures of my current cats: To start, this is Tangerine. He's three years old, and he absolutely loves to talk, be outside, and roll in the grass. He's basically my domesticated tiger, or at least that's what I call him. We got him as a kitten, and he's just a big suck. The only thing is he won't cuddle up with you, unless he goes to you to curl up. And he refuses to wear collars, no matter what we do. And here is my newest addition to the family. This is Paisley, and she's two years old. We only got her (almost) two weeks ago, from one of my dad's co-workers. She hasn't really bonded to anyone except for me, and isn't too fond of my brother or my mom, and isn't sure what to think of my dad yet. She loves to talk too, but when she's done with your attention she will make i...

Let's Talk School

Only twenty-one days left until I move back into residence at school. I'm ridiculously excited to go back to school. I haven't been this excited since... forever. College really makes you enjoy school. I know everyone says "High school is the best four years of your life". I don't know what they were on in high school, but it was definitely the worst four years (actually five for me, I did another year after I graduated). In high school there's so much drama, and you can lose friends in the blink of an eye. The only part I actually enjoyed about high school was prom, and I can say that some people do regret not going to their proms, its not like a regular school dance. It's more fun (especially when you and your friends call going to McDonald's, still dressed up, an after party). In college, the possibility of making friends is endless. You can literally make friends anywhere. And you can go have fun whenever you like. For me and my friends, we would...

Review of: Inside Out

Image
Over the weekend the campground I went to played this movie. I've never saw Inside Out  because I am behind on Disney and Pixar movies. I absolutely loved this movie. It was adorable, and right from the beginning it makes you think about things and different aspects of your life. I do not remember a lot from the movie unfortunately, but I know it was overall cute. And it did make me shed a tear at the end. And I absolutely loved the cat emotions at the end during the credits. It made me laugh so much, and being a cat person, I can say that that much was very true to cats in general.

Review of the Short Film: In a Heartbeat

Image
In a Heartbeat - Animated Short Film   There's been a lot of controversy about this short animated film. People saying that the video will have a negative effect on kids. When in reality, it would have a positive one if any. I highly suggest anyone and everyone watch this four minute video. Below is my brief synopsis of the film. The video is about a little boy who forms a crush on another little boy. Its a harmless little crush. And this little boy feels judged by his peers for being different, for being gay. There is a little heart that constantly tries bringing these two boys together. And it ends up resulting in the heart getting broken (in half). But of course it wouldn't be a kids short film if it didn't have a happy ending. So in the end, of course the two boys have their little childhood crush on each other. The film brought a tear to my eye after it had finished. I'm a person who supports the LGBTQ+ so it was great to see it shown from a little boys pe...

Camping Weekend

So this weekend is a along weekend in Canada. This weekend is Civic holiday weekend. Don't bother asking what its about, I honestly have no idea. But this weekend I get to go camping. I haven't gone camping in about a year so I'm excited, except for the bugs, obviously. But since I'm camping I won't be able to post anything. I will try to write things into my note app on my phone so I'll have something to write about, and to reference when I get back home.

Being Ginger

So whether you readers know, or don't know, I am a red head (or at least I think I am). Technically my hair is a mix of red, blonde, and brunette. Red base, blonde highlights, and brunette low lights, and its all naturally this way. My mom always told me I was a strawberry blonde, but that definitely has more blonde in it. And I must be a red head, because my skin is always pale, I'm 1/8th Irish, and I have freckles, everywhere. Oh. And the most important thing... I have two skin colours. Pale white, or lobster red. Those skin colours that I have is just what I want to talk about today (and what I've meant to post earlier this week, work I tell you, it takes over and makes you so tired). Being pale really sucks. You can't go outside for an hour in the middle of summer without sunscreen/sunblock and not get a burn. I know this first hand. Back on Sunday my family and I went to an ice cream fest in my town, and I figured we should only be gone under an hour, its not t...
