Dealing With Feels

Everyone has feelings, and everyone goes through them, whether they admit it or not. The key to being a strong person is knowing how to deal with these feels, or to at least mute them for a bit, until you feel you are ready to deal with them.
Different people will deal with feels differently. And what works for one person may not work for another. It all depends on the person, and what is troubling them.
For me, I had someone who I was very interested in, and then he vanished without saying a word. It crushed me. I didn't know what to do. My friends at the time thought I was depressed, but I wouldn't admit to that. I was always the happy, positive friend. But I knew I had to do something about it. I'm the type of person who enjoys reading and writing, so I gave writing a chance. I took everything I was feeling (which was a lot of sadness, and sometimes anger) and put it into the main character, then started writing in first person so I knew I would be able to see my emotions. I found it as a great therapy for me. It especially helped me a couple years later when I got really frustrated with my then best friend. The story did eventually take on a life of its own, and now has 13-14 chapters, all of which I worked super hard on, and am really proud of. If any of you people would like to read it, do not hesitate to contact me by comment or on google plus or on my other socials. I can give a link to that story if anyone is curious about it. It isn't a completed story though, I don't know when I will reach the end.
As for other things that may help people to deal with feels, there's always watching movies, hanging out with friends, picking up old hobbies, starting up new hobbies, etc. The possibilities are endless, it all depends on how you want to deal with the feels. I personally think friends are a good starting point, they can help give you ideas if you ever get stuck, and if you're going through things together, at least you aren't alone in it. If you do happen to think you're alone in it, I will be your friend and try my best to make you feel not so alone in this messed up world.
